Mauritian civil servant Ramroop Jugurnauth visited Jajpur for the fourth time to trace his ancestral roots, fulfilling a promise by immersing his late uncle's ashes in the Baitarani river. His ancestor, Jagannath Dash, arrived in Mauritius from Jajpur in 1870 as an indentured labourer. After 34 years of searching, Jugurnauth remains determined to reconnect with his lost family in Odisha.
