An Assistant Sub-Inspector and a villager were apprehended in Koraput district for allegedly accepting a Rs 40,000 bribe. The ASI had threatened a complainant in a domestic violence case with severe action if the payment was not made. The villager was caught red-handed collecting the bribe money on the ASI's behalf.
