'Moana 2' Trailer Debuts, Introduces Moana's Little Sister & Teases New Villain - Watch Now!
The official trailer for the upcoming Disney sequel Moana 2 was just released!
Stars Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho debuted the trailer while attending D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on Friday evening (August 9) in Anaheim, Calif.
At the event, Dwayne confirmed Maui is singing again, and we learned that the movie will introduce Moana’s little sister, who can be seen in the trailer. Auli’i even performed a new song, “We’re Back,” from the upcoming animated movie musical!

Moana 2 reunites Moana (Cravalho) and Maui (Johnson) three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.
Also reprising their voice roles include Rachel House as Moana’s Grandma, Tala; Temuera Morrison as Moana’s father, Chief Tui; and Nicole Scherzinger as Moana’s mother, Sina.
Joining the cast in new roles are Hualālai Chung, David Fane and Rose Matafeo as Moana’s new crew members Moni, Kele and Loto, respectively; Awhimai Fraser voices mysterious new character Matangi; Gerald Ramsey plays Moana’s ancestor, Tautai Vasa; and Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda lends her voice to Moana’s adoring and adorable little sister, Simea.
Moana 2 will hit theaters November 27th!
