'Shogun' Season 2 Cast - 1 Star Confirmed to Return, 1 Unlikely to Return & 6 Stars' Fate Unknown
Shogun is returning for a second, and a third, season!
The hit FX series had a massive debut, notching FX’s biggest streaming debut since The Bear, and it has continued it’s success since it debuted in February 2024.
It was announced to be renewed for two more seasons in May 2024.
Most recently, the show earned a whopping 25 nominations at the 2024 Emmy Awards, and it won 18 of those, including a history-making win for Anna Sawai.
Based on James Clavell‘s novel, the series set in Japan in the year 1600 at the dawn of a century-defining civil war. Lord Yoshii Toranaga is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him, when a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village.
