Three Words Were Written Into Shell Casings at UnitedHealth CEO Brian Thompson's Crime Scene
UnitedHealth Group CEO Brian Thompson was fatally shot outside of New York City’s New York Hilton Midtown hotel on Wednesday (December 4) just before 7 am local time.
The masked assailant, who was not been found, apparently waited for the 50-year-old executive to appear before firing at least three shots in his back and leg. Discourse suggests this was a targeted kill by someone experienced with firearms.
The suspect quickly fled the scene on a bike, and is at large. He was last seen entering NYC’s Central Park minutes after the killing.
Now, a new update has come in.

Three words were apparently written on the bullet shell casings that were found at the scene.
ABC News has sources who confirmed the words written were “deny,” “defend” and “depose.”
NYPD say they’re “working to determine whether the words were meant as a message from the shooter and a hint at his motive.”
The FBI is now reportedly also involved in the search.
