NFL 2025 Draft Order, as of December 30: Giants Fall From First Pick, Patriots Land Top Spot
The 2025 NFL Draft order is slowly taking shape as the 2024 season comes to a close.
After tonight’s Monday Night Football game between the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions, we’ll have an even clearer picture of how the draft order will shake out.
With the New York Giants’ win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday (December 29), the draft order totally changed with New York dropping from the first overall pick to the fourth overall pick.
Quarterback-needy teams usually need to be at the top of the draft order to select the star players in the draft, and Giants fans are not happy that they might have lost out on the chance to draft two of the biggest prospects: Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Miami’s Cam Ward. Any team could trade up to get a player, so there’s still a chance the Giants – or another one of the 32 teams – could land those two top QB prospects!
The draft takes place in late April.
