ABC Shares First Look Photos & Teaser Trailer for 'Abbott Elementary' & 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' Crossover Episode!

The countdown to the first major TV event of 2025 is on!

ABC has debuted the first look photos and teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated two-episode crossover between Abbott Elementary and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which will air in early January.

In the episode titled “Volunteers,” Ava (Janelle James) announces that the school district is sending over a group of volunteers to help at Abbott. Despite the extra hands, when the volunteers arrive, things “don’t go as planned,” according to the episode’s official log line.

Keep reading to find out more…“Welcome to Abbott Elementary, the best elementary school in the universe!” Janine (Quinta Brunson) says excitedly in the teaser as the camera then pans to the It’s Always Sunny crew of Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, Kaitlin Olson, and Danny DeVito.

“Is that what this is?” Kaitlin‘s Deandra asks while looking around at the school.

Later in the teaser, Rob‘s Mac says to Ava in the teachers lounge, “Let me know if there’s anything you need, and I mean anything.”

Fellow Abbott Elementary stars Sheryl Lee Ralph, Tyler James Williams, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, and William Stanford Davis also all make appearances in the teaser.

If you missed it, the Abbott Elementary cast got major salary increases for season 4.

The Abbott Elementary and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia crossover episode premieres Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 8:30pm ET on ABC!
