Where Is Miley Cyrus on New Year's Eve 2025? Why NBC Isn't Airing Her Party This Year
Miley Cyrus won’t be hosting a 2025 New Year’s Eve special!
The 32-year-old entertainer hosted a 2022 NYE party with Pete Davidson, and the following year she hosted a party with Dolly Parton, both airing on NBC.
However, this will mark the second year in a row Miley will not be hosting a New Year’s Eve special, and we have all the details on what NBC will be doing instead.

Miley actually only had a three special deal with NBC, which began with her Stand By You concert special on Peacock. She then hosted NYE for two years, thus completing her deal with the company.
So, what will NBC be doing for NYE this year to ring in 2025?
This year, NBC will air an NBC News Special, “A Toast to 2024,” with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager from 9pm to 10:58pm ET/PT, followed by local news programming for a half hour.
They will then air The Day Drinking With Seth Meyers New Year’s Special, which will begin at 11:30pm ET/PT. The special will look back at Seth Meyers‘ Day Drinking segments, including ones with Rihanna, Post Malone, Will Forte, Kelly Clarkson, Kristen Stewart, Kevin Hart, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lizzo and Dua Lipa.
Following Day Drinking with Seth Meyers, NBC will air E! News Presents NBC’s Hot 10 of 2024, featuring unforgettable moments of the past year, followed by a half hour of local news coverage, then another news special, “Fireworks Around the World,” at 2:08am ET/PT.
