Jeff Baena's Cause of Death Confirmed by Medical Examiner

Jeff Baena‘s official cause of death was confirmed by the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner.

The screenwriter and director, who was married to actress Aubrey Plaza, passed away on Friday (January 3).

A new report issued on Saturday provided additional insight into the tragic situation.

According to a report examined by Deadline, it was confirmed that Jeff passed away by suicide. The outlet reported that he “[took] his life by hanging.”

He was found at his home in Los Angeles by an assistant on Friday morning and was pronounced dead at the scene.

If you were unaware, Jeff and Aubrey have been romantically linked since 2011 but largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight. They were photographed together earlier this summer.
