Cynthia Erivo has an idea that would enable her to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fresh off the success of her portrayal of Elphaba in the big-screen adaptation of Wicked, the 38-year-old actress was asked what dream role she is manifesting next.

She responded by naming an iconic hero from Marvel’s wheelhouse. It’s also a distinct possibility as the character is likely going to make their MCU debut in the coming years!

Speaking to the National Board of Review, Cynthia revealed that she wanted to join the X-Men as Storm, a role previously played by Halle Berry and Alexandra Shipp.

“I really want to play Storm,” she said, referencing the X-Men weather witch, also known as Ororo Munroe. “I know it sounds frivolous, but I think we haven’t uncovered how grand she is and all of that inner turmoil that she has. So I think there’s a world in which we can do something ling that.”

If you were unaware, members of the X-Men are expected to start popping up within Marvel’s cinematic universe in the coming years. This follows Hugh Jackman debut as Wolverine in 2024′s Deadpool & Wolverine.

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige recently teased when to expect the mutants to make their official debut.

Storm is an iconic character, who has spoken to many young stars. Another dressed up as the character for Halloween, and they go Halle‘s stamp of approval.
