Will There Be a 'Den of Thieves 3'? Director Reveals Plans for Three More Movies!
Den of Thieves 2: Pantera is getting even stronger reviews than the first movie and now writer-director Christian Gudegast is sharing plans for more films in the franchise.
In the sequel movie, Big Nick (Gerard Butler) is back on the hunt in Europe and closing in on Donnie (O’Shea Jackson Jr.), who is embroiled in the treacherous and unpredictable world of diamond thieves and the infamous Panther mafia, as they plot a massive heist of the world’s largest diamond exchange.
Christian has plans to make three more movies in the series.

“So again, while researching heists, the research is agnostic to where it takes place in the world. There are three particular ones that are unreal,” he told Collider. “One is in Brazil, one is in Africa, and one is in Southeast Asia. The thing about those worlds is that they have a whole different criminal world down there, underground, and characters and everything. It will always be about taking these guys into those worlds.”
Christian says that a new character will be introduced in Den of Thieves 3 who will “hunt” down Nick and Donnie.
“It’s going to become a bit more geopolitical,” he said, adding that Africa will likely be the setting.
He added, “Den 3 is all ready to go. It’s all outlined. I do notes, files, outlines, and when it’s time to do the script, it’s just basically changing the format, really. So it’s all outlined for the next two.”
“The next one’s already ready to go, and then 4 or 5 are already mapped out simply because of the amount of material to come across and where we want to take these characters,” he concluded.
