Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Visit Fire Evacuees at Pasadena Convention Center
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been sharing resources and opening their home to friends who have been affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles.
Now, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited one of the many evacuation sites on Friday (January 10), specifically the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, Calif.
The center is the closest for evacuees who have been displaced due to the nearby Eaton Fire, which has affected many in Altadena, Calif. and other nearby neighborhoods.
Prince Harry and Meghan were caught on camera by local CBS affiliate KCAL News, while visiting with a woman and consoling her.

At one point in the video, Meghan gave her a hug before they were seen leaving the premises with the woman. They refused any interviews with reporters while on their way out.
Reporter Josh Sanders noted in a news segment that Harry and Meghan were handing out food earlier in the day.
In another video via the local Fox affiliate, Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo said it was “great people, great personalities and great heart for them to come out here and meet with the first responders, meet with the people who were affected. It’s very important.”
He added that they aimed to discreetly help out and were even handing out food while wearing masks and no one knew it was them.
“They want to be as helpful as they can be,” the Mayor said. “We visited with some of the affected families in some of the burned-out areas in Pasadena and Altadena. They took the time to meet the people that are affected and spent time. They’re just very caring people who are concerned for their friends and neighbors.”
Earlier in the week, the Duke and Duchess released a statement on the fires, and they shared organizations that were accepting donations to help those in need.
They also urged people to open up their home to loved ones and pets if they can, and they even did that themselves for their own friends and loved ones, as well as taking steps to provide assistance to others, as can be seen in the news clip here.
