Did [SPOILER] Really Die in 'Landman'? Co-Creator Clarifies If That Character Is Gone for Good

Spoiler alert! Don’t continue reading if you haven’t watched the season 1 finale of Landman.

Last night’s new episode put the fate of Monty Miller into question.

The character – played by Jon Hamm – had a heart attack and needed surgery. But in the final few minutes of the episode, we saw Monty’s wife Cami (Demi Moore) and their children seemingly mourning at his bedside. This has led fans to assume the character did not survive.

Now, we’re getting a clearer answer.

Landman co-creator Christian Wallace seemed to confirm that Jon Hamm‘s character really did die.

Christian told Variety, “It is safe to say that Monty has passed. But when you take one major player off the board, it opens up opportunities for other players — and I think that’s all I’m at liberty to say at this point.”

Christian also addressed Demi Moore‘s role in the series, and possibly having a larger role should the show get a second season.

“There is a lot more story left to tell with Cami,” he shared. “Taylor [Sheridan] has big plans, that’s all I’m going to say.”
