Cooper Kupp has been married to his wife Anna Kupp, 30, for nearly a decade, and have been together since 2012.
Not only have they been together for a while, they’re high school sweethearts!
They began dating in 2012 when they were seniors in high school. The two met at a track meet, when Anna presented him with a medal from an event.
In high school, Anna played basketball, volleyball, track and cross country, and in college, she competed as a heptathlete.
“I knew that she was the one that I wanted to marry when we had first met back in high school. I told my mom the day I met her, ‘I’m going to marry this girl,’” he told ESPN.
He went to play football at Eastern Washington University, while she went to the University of Arkansas. The two made the long distance work temporarily, and got engaged in March 2014. By the fall of 2014, Anna had transferred to Eastern Washington University alongside Cooper.
Anna worked full-time at a local restaurant in college to allow Cooper to focus on football and school.
“I supported us monetarily through college. I was working full time so that he didn’t have to worry about that, so that he could focus,” she told ESPN.
“Without a doubt, there’s no doubt in my mind, not only would I not be here where I am today without her or accomplishing the things that I would be doing. I really believe I may not be in this — I may not be in the NFL if it wasn’t for her and what she has inspired in me and pushed me to do,” Cooper said.
They eventually got married on June 20, 2015, at the end of their sophomore year of college at Oakshire Estate & Airfield in Yakima, Washington, with more than 400 guests.
“A lot of people ask, ‘Why did you guys get married so young? Didn’t you feel you were missing out?’ And you’re telling them, ‘No, we actually think the opposite. We feel so lucky to have found someone that we love and cherish so much so early,’” Anna told ESPN.
They welcomed their first son, Cooper Jameson Kupp (or “June” for Junior), on July 3, 2018. On January 17, 2021, they welcomed a second son, Cypress Stellar Kupp. In June 2023, Anna gave birth to their third son, Solas Reign Kupp.
They also have raised a dog named Elouise (or Lo) since 2017.
Anna currently participates in a women’s basketball league with fellow NFL wife Kelly Stafford.
Cooper has frequently sung her praises in interviews.
“It’s hard to put into words. I just don’t think I can sit here and tell you just off the top of my head and have it do her the justice that she deserves for all this,” he told ESPN.
He previously called his wife “an absolute warrior” for their family.
“The things she allows me to do to pursue being the best version of me as a football player could not be done without her,” he explained.
“Been side by side from the start, and I look forward to a lifetime more of walking alongside you, and celebrating you! You bring so much joy to our lives,” he sweetly wrote of his wife while celebrating her birthday in 2023.
She and Cooper also co-founded Dodo Coffee Company, and share much of their life together on social media, including candid life conversations on their podcast Daily Grind.
