Former First Lady Michelle Obama Skipping Trump's 2025 Inauguration
Former First Lady Michelle Obama is skipping the inauguration of Donald Trump on Monday (January 20) in Washington, DC.
“Former President Barack Obama is confirmed to attend the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies. Former first lady Michelle Obama will not attend the upcoming inauguration,” a statement from Office of Barack and Michelle Obama read, via the AP.

Others notable guests expected to attend the Inauguration next week include former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, former First Lady Laura Bush and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, current President Joe Biden, and others. It’s unclear if VP Kamala Harris will attend at this time.
Michelle Obama also did not attend Jimmy Carter‘s funeral last week and it was later explained why.
