Ed Sheeran Clarifies Two Rumors Spreading About Him, Including One Concerning J.K. Rowling's New Year's Eve Party

One is that he attended “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling‘s New Year’s Eve party a few weeks ago. Rowling has made controversial comments about the transgender community and often doubles down on her opinions when pressed by critics. The second headline he responded to is that he recently “brought joy” to wounded Israel Defense Forces soldiers.

In part, Ed took to Instagram Stories and wrote, “…Any other journalist who has reported both these stories, neither are true. I spent New Years with my friends and family.”

He continued, “The story about wounded soldiers at my show, was a charity that sourced tickets to my show in Cyprus last year, which was a large scale public concert. This kind of reporting is divisive and damaging, please research before you post things.”
