Daisy Ridley's Next 'Star Wars' Movie Gets Exciting Update, Years After Being Announced
It looks like Daisy Ridley‘s upcoming Star Wars movie is back on track amid questions if it would ever happen.
The upcoming movie featuring Daisy‘s character Rey was previously announced back in April 2023 during that year’s Star Wars Celebration event.
Documentary filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy was set as the director of the upcoming film, tentatively titled New Jedi Order, marking her feature narrative film debut. The movie will be set 15 years after the events that happened in the 2019 film The Rise of Skywalker. Rey will now be the mentor to new Jedis.

George Nolfi has been hired to write the latest draft of the script, marking yet another change in writing staff, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Nolfi has written such movies as Ocean’s Twelve, The Bourne Ultimatum, and The Adjustment Bureau, which was his directorial debut.
