'Jeopardy' Contesant Drew Goins Gets Surprise Spot in Tournament of Champions, All Thanks to Lisa Ann Walter
Fan-favorite contestant Drew Goins is heading to Jeopardy‘s Tournament of Champions in a surprise turn of events!
The Hawaii-based journalist has gained attention for his energetic approach to the show, including his reaction to clues about Taylor Swift and Celine Dion.
Drew competed in the Champions Wildcard tournament to earn a spot in the Tournament of Champions, but he placed in second and didn’t earn a spot. Thanks to a loophole, he now has a spot in the quarterfinals and will appear on the February 3 episode.
And it’s all thanks to Abbott Elementary actress Lisa Ann Walter.

Lisa previously won Celebrity Jeopardy and won $1 million to support the Entertainment Community Fund. She was unable to compete in the Tournament of Champions due to scheduling issues, so Drew received her spot!
“SURPRISE! I’m going to the Tournament of Champions!” Drew wrote on his Instagram Stories. “Iconic Celeb J champion Lisa Ann Walter couldn’t make it… so I get her ToC spot.”
