'Stranger Things' Season 5 Teaser: Netflix Shares New Details About Millie Bobby Brown's Character

Netflix is teasing a major detail about the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, and it involves Millie Bobby Brown‘s character Jane “Eleven” Hopper.

The hit series is one of many projects that is set to premiere on the streaming platform in 2025.

While an official release date has not been confirmed yet, Netflix took to social media on Thursday (January 30) with a huge hint about an upcoming plot.

On Instagram, Netflix shared a poster announcing that Millie‘s character Eleven was missing. She was described as being last seen “wearing a hooded jacket walking alone in the vicinity of Hawkins High School on June 13, 1986.”

“A reward totally $3000.00 will be PAID for all leads which result in the location of Jane Hopper or her body. Last seen walking on the sidewalk near Hawkins High School where she mysteriously disappeared that afternoon, June 13, 1986. Contact the Hawkins Police Department if you have any information regarding the whereabouts of this person,” the sign reads.

If you forgot, the fourth season of Stranger Things took place in March 1986, meaning that Eleven’s disappearance was just a few months later. The fifth season of the show is supposed to take place in the fall of 1987, meaning that Eleven has been missing for over a year.

Back in November 2024, Netflix revealed the titles for the eight episodes of the new season. The title of the second episode referred to the “vanishing” of someone, but the information was redacted.

Could this be a reference to Eleven’s character?

“Who’s *really* looking for Jane Hopper,” Netflix wrote in the caption, adding, “You’re not ready for what’s to come in Stranger Things 5.”
