Ben Affleck Replaces Matt Damon In Netflix Movie 'Animals' & Gillian Anderson Added to Cast
Matt Damon is no longer starring in the upcoming Netflix thriller Animals!
The 54-year-old actor was attached to star in and produce the movie, but is no longer set to star, according to Deadline.
However, his BFF Ben Affleck, who was poised to just direct, will now also take on the leading role, alongside new addition Gillian Anderson!

Plot details are being kept mostly under wraps, aside from the fact that it is about a kidnapping.
Matt and Ben are also set to produce through their Artists Equity banner, alongside Dani Bernfeld. Connor McIntyre and Billy Ray penned the script.
Filming is said to start in April in Los Angeles.
Reasoning for Matt‘s exit is due to scheduling conflicts. He is set to begin filming the upcoming star-studded Christopher Nolan-directed The Odyssey adaptation this month, with filming locations set across the world.
