Khloe Kardashian Looks Back at Downfall of Marriage to Lamar Odom as They Reunite in 'The Kardashians' Season 6 Premiere

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are meeting face to face for the first time in almost nine years.

During the season 6 premiere of The Kardashians, which was released on Thursday (February 6), the 40-year-old reality star reunited with the 45-year-old former NBA player after he recently bumped into her longtime BFF Malika Haqq.

Before their reunion at the end of the episode, Khloe looked back at her tumultuous relationship with Lamar.

If you forgot, Khloe and Lamar married back in 2009 and split in 2013. Khloe rushed to Lamar‘s side after his drug overdose in 2015 and helped him recover. Their divorce was finalized in 2016 and Khloe hasn’t seen him since that same year after she kicked him out of the house she rented for him as he recovered after the overdose.

“Lamar was and is definitely someone that I felt was the love of my life,” Khloe said in a confessional. “I got married when I was 24 and although him and I got married 30 days to the day we met, I loved him with all of my heart and soul.”

I took my vows very seriously and I was married for about seven years,” she continued. “But there were bigger things that were not fixable in that marriage. So the last time I saw him was in 2016.”

Khloe noted, “I feel bad and wish he would get his life together. But then I remember this isn’t my world anymore. I don’t know if I could even put into words what I felt for Lamar. That was some of the most special and magical time of my life. It felt like the purest love I have ever had. Although there was so much darkness in that marriage, there was the brightest of the bright times.”

She went on to look back at how she “took care” of Lamar after his overdose, explaining, “Then as soon as he was up and able to take care of himself then we had to part ways. It is time to just be done with that chapter.”

“Lamar was repeating some of the same behaviors that I just couldn’t stand for. I was shocked that he was repeating those behaviors himself while coming out of the whole Vegas accident,” Khloe said in a confessional. “I rented Lamar a house next door to my home. He was staying there with caretakers and rehabilitating. … I went over and I walked in on Lamar doing things that he shouldn’t have been doing. I was very upset. I haven’t seen Lamar since that day.”

Khloe decided to finally meet with Lamar so that she could return some of his prized possessions, however, she made it clear to Malika that she didn’t want Lamar to get the wrong idea about their reunion.

“I am fine but I just don’t want to make this a thing,” she shared. “It is hot so I would have worn a short tank dress but maybe that is giving too much. So I am in my uniform. I don’t want this to read into anything more.”

“There’s just no feelings,” Khloe added. “I want him to have his stuff and that is it. I wish I could do that and not have a conversation.”

Lamar was ultimately nearly an hour late to their reunion at Malika‘s house and showed up visibly nervous and uncomfortable while sweating as he tried to make awkward jokes and small talk.

“You want to sit this close? How are we going to talk to each other?” Khloe said as he struggled to look her in the eye. “Don’t be nervous. I am not going to do or say anything that is scary.”

“I don’t know this person anymore. It is just a mindf–k,” Khloe said in a confessional. “He is visibly uncomfortable, he is nervous and sweating. I don’t know if he thinks I am going to go off on him. But he just seems scared.”

“I don’t have a lot of emotion for this meeting. I have dealt with so much trauma in this relationship for so many years,” she admitted. “To learn how to unlove someone, it is almost like a death.”

After Khloe presented him with some of his possessions, Lamar jokingly called her his “wife,” which she didn’t appreciate.

“For him to call me his wife, words are empty,” Khloe explained. “When it was great, it was spectacular. When it was bad, it was horrific.”

Later during the conversation, Lamar saw a photo of Khloe‘s 2-year-old son Tatum on her phone, to which he said, “Your little boy looks like you a lot.”

He then started to look back at the mistakes he felt he made during their relationship.

“I put you through a lot. I f–ked up with you,” Lamar admitted. “I love you for trying your hardest with me. That love will never go away, I know it won’t.”

The episode ended with a “To Be Continued” message, but the preview for the next episode teased a heated exchanged between Khloe and Lamar as she called him out over the lies he told her.
