Justin Baldoni's Lawyer Reveals If He'll Depose Taylor Swift in 'It Ends with Us' Lawsuit

0

Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have been in a legal battle for weeks now, months after the release of their film, It Ends with Us.

Taylor is allegedly mentioned a few times in various text messages that were released in one of the lawsuits. One alleged Taylor mention is within the now infamous Khaleesi/Game of Thrones dragons texts.

Another alleged text, from Justin to a Sony exec, said, “Blake is calling Taylor to approve the song. She of course reached out saying she is asking for time with … her editor. We know it was conditional on signing contract – but asking if you’ll reconsider so … can release this trailer and Blake does not change mind re calling Taylor Swift.”

Now, Justin‘s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, is revealing an answer to the possible deposition of Taylor.

Keep reading to find out more…

“I don’t know that we’re going to depose Taylor Swift or not,” Freedman said on TMZ’s “Two Angry Men” podcast. “I think that that’s gonna be probably a game time decision, I don’t know that that decision’s been made. But, I can tell you this: Anyone that reasonably has information that can provide evidence in this case is going to be deposed. I mean, for sure.”

By the way, here’s the definition of “despose” in the context of a lawsuit: “the act of questioning a deponent under oath, either a witness or a party to a lawsuit, at a deposition. Deposing occurs during the pre-trial discovery process.”
