Craig Conover Reacts to Paige DeSorbo Cheating Rumors, If She Was Mean to Him & Reveals Exact Timeline of Breakup

Craig Conover is opening up about his breakup with Paige DeSorbo.

The Southern Charm star and the Summer House star split at the end of 2024, which she announced on her podcast right before the new year.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday (February 6), Craig set the record straight on some aspects that have been talked about a lot online, including reacting to his SC co-star Patricia Altschul saying she thought Paige was mean to him, if she really did cheat on him and more.

On the cheating rumors, Craig stressed, “I don’t want to be involved… I got broken up with, I’m the ex-boyfriend now, moving on with my life. I’m not going to get sucked into the mud with them. Like, her cast commenting on how I’m grieving and that I’m sorry that I’m not reading Reddit every day and getting on there and defending her. I never said [Paige] cheated, so, I’m not a part of this.”

The Sewing Down South founder also noted that Paige lied on her podcast when she said the breakup was mutual.

“I didn’t tell her what to say. I got a text and she said, ‘I’m announcing it on my podcast,’ and then she said it was mutual, which it wasn’t,” he said. “I didn’t know about [the breakup], she called me and told me… I mean, it’s been a whirlwind.”

He added that right before their breakup, they were planning their future, talking about marriage and even him moving to New York. He also addressed Patricia saying she was mean to him.

“I don’t think Paige was [mean]. I think we had an awesome relationship. I think you get to see a small amount and, you know, on TV, she plays it up, but in private, I mean, we were a very cute couple and she was nothing but supportive of me, and I’m where I am, a lot of it because of her.”

Commenting on what Austen Kroll said on WWHL last week about Paige dating someone new already, Craig said, “I mean, I think it’s fair for me to say it’s none of my business, what she does anymore. I wasn’t a part of any of the rumors, I haven’t said a word.”

As for a timeline of their breakup, Craig reveals it happened right after spending Thanksgiving together at her parents.

“She called me after Thanksgiving, I was in Toronto about to do a show, and was like, ‘I think we have to break up, and then we were like, ‘Well, we’ll talk about it,’” he said. “Then that was after Thanksgiving and then I stayed at the apartment [in NYC] that week, but she wasn’t there, but we were FaceTiming and she said, ‘I miss you’ an stuff, but like that was when [the Southern Charm] press tour started.”

“There’s things that you’ll find out that I had no reason to think she was serious. I thought she was just having kind of like a bad night or a breakdown,” he continued. “When she called me and broke up with me, the last thing I was going to do is the next day when I was being interviewed being like, ‘By the way, I think Paige broke up with me.’ I don’t know, I guess I was still processing it.”

Once they finally talked in person, Craig says Paige told him, ‘Look, I love you, but I love myself more and I have to go do this and find myself.’”
