'Malcolm in the Middle' Reboot Cast Updates: 4 Stars Confirmed to Return, Fate of Others Still Unclear

The cast of the Malcolm in the Middle reboot is slowly coming together, and we’re keeping track of casting updates!

Last year, it was revealed that the hit sitcom, which aired for seven seasons between 2000 and 2006, would return for a revival on Disney+.

Original series creator Linwood Boomer is working on the new project, which will be comprised of four episodes. It is not yet clear when it will premiere or if there are plans for additional episodes in the future.

“Malcolm in the Middle is a landmark sitcom that captured the essence of family life with humor, heart and relatability,” Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television said in a statement shared with Variety. “Its hilarious and heartfelt portrayal of a lovably chaotic family resonated with audiences of all ages, and we’re so excited to welcome the original cast back to bring that magic to life again.”

Since learning the big news, four members of the original cast are confirmed to return, but the fate of several others is still unclear.
