Shogun's Anna Sawai Explains Why She Never Talks About Her Private Life
Anna Sawai is enjoying some downtime after finishing her busy awards season for Shogun!
The 32-year-old actress was spotted leaving a meeting at the W Hotel on Thursday (February 27) in West Hollywood, Calif.
Anna gave a tearful speech at the SAG Awards last weekend when she won for Best Actress in a TV Drama Series, marking her final awards show for Shogun.
In a new interview with Vogue Australia, Anna opened up about her decision to not talk publicly about her private life.

“I’ve never talked about it. I will talk about my private relationships when I’m ready. I’m very precious about keeping my private life private, because it’s already hard. I don’t want public opinions of people that I don’t know to affect my relationships,” she said.
Anna also explained why she feels free to throw herself into her career right now.
“I’m not married. I don’t have a kid. So I can work, and I see that the momentum is going, and I want to prioritize that,” she said.
What’s next? “It also gives me excitement for the new thing. Especially because Shōgun did so well. I know what we can do. I know what I can do.”
