Jennie Garth Reacts to Shannen Doherty Snub During Oscars 2025 In Memoriam

Jennie Garth is opening up about the 2025 Oscars ceremony’s “In Memoriam” segment, which did not include her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Shannen Doherty.

The tribute already faced controversy for leaving out actors such as Michelle Trachtenberg, Tony Todd and Olivia Hussey and Shannen was one of the names also left out of the segment.

Jennie called the situation “messed up” when asked by TMZ to give her thoughts on the snub, agreeing that “maybe” the Academy should apologize to Shannen‘s family for the exclusion.

She is included in the official In Memoriam database on The Academy’s website, however.

If you were unaware, Shannen passed in July 2024 following a long battle with breast cancer. She was 53.

The day after the Oscars, her longtime rep addressed the snub.
