'Another Simple Favor' Director Talks Blake Lively's Wardrobe Contributions After Justin Baldoni Accused Her of Tanking 'It Ends With Us' Clothing Budget
Another Simple Favor director Paul Feig addressed Blake Lively‘s contributions to the movie’s wardrobe.
The A Simple Favor director worked with Blake again on the sequel, which premieres later this year.
While promoting the movie at SXSW, he praised her for having “spectacular” ideas on the clothing that her character wore.
His comments come after Justin Baldoni accused the actress of tanking the wardrobe budget on It Ends With Us.

“Her ideas on wardrobe are spectacular,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “When when she first shows up [in the movie], Blake was like, ‘I want to show up in a suit that looks like a prison outfit.’ It’s one of these things that when somebody first says it, you’re like, ‘That’s weird.’ Then you realize it’s actually brilliant.”
Paul said that the actress also found one of the hats that she wore in the movie while shopping in Capri.
“She came back and said, ‘I just bought this hat. Can we put it in the movie?’ That’s definitely going in the movie. You kidding me? And my favorite thing is how she navigates the street with it,” he said. “There’s one shot where she’s walking past the camera and, as she goes by, she lifts it up so you can see her face. I’m like, ‘You are such a f-cking movie star.’”
In comparison, Justin said that Blake pushed to make her wardrobe “much sexier” on the set of It Ends With Us and accused her of taking control of her wardrobe and then going dramatically over budget.
If you missed it, Blake recently revealed her favorite role that she’s played.
