Brandon Sklenar Reveals If He Purposely Wore Same Brooch as Justin Baldoni to Show Support

Fans thought Brandon Sklenar might have been subtly showing his support for his It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni on the red carpet earlier this month.

If you don’t know, both Brandon and Justin chose to wear the same pink floral brooch at separate red carpet events. Justin wore his to the It Ends with Us premiere in August, while Brandon wore his last week at an Oscars party.

Well, Brandon was asked directly if this was on purpose or if there was a hidden meaning behind it.

“Honestly, no. I wish I could say there was,” he told People. “That was a total happenstance. I woke up in the morning and saw an article and I was like, ‘Oh, damn.’ I literally had no idea. I had an idea I wanted to wear like a floral brooch of some kind and that was the color that I liked the best. And, lo and behold, someone also wore that prior to me wearing it.”

When Blake Lively first filed her sexual harassment case against Justin in December, Brandon supported her by sharing the link to her New York Times article and encouraged his followers to read it.

While walking the red carpet at the Vanity Fair party, Brandon was asked he was hoping to support Blake, 37, amid all of these lawsuits. Instead of answering the question, Brandon said that he hopes people just focus on why they made the movie.
