'FBI' Cancellations: Could NBC Save 'International' & 'Most Wanted' From CBS' Canceled TV Show Lineup?

0

CBS canceled FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted last week, and fans are now wondering if NBC could swoop in and save the two TV shows from cancellation.

It’s not the norm for other networks to save canceled content from their competitors. It has happened though. 9-1-1 moved from Fox to ABC, and ABC also picked up American Idol when it was axed.

The reason fans think this could happen is because the FBI dramas are from Dick Wolf, who has ties to both CBS (with the FBI franchise), as well as NBC (with the One Chicago shows and Law & Order shows).

However, there’s another side to this that makes it seem unlikely.

Keep reading to find out more…

One reason fans think NBC would not be able to save those two shows is the network already has a full schedule. They have Chicago Wednesdays with Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD, they have Law & Order Thursdays, dramas like Found, Brilliant Minds, Suits LA, and The Irrational, and comedies Lopez vs. Lopez, and Night Court. Then they also have reality competition shows The Voice and Deal or No Deal Island.

On top of that, NBC has already issued renewals to several TV shows for 2025-2026 primetime slots.

While this isn’t definitive, some fans don’t believe the switch from CBS to NBC could happen due to tight scheduling. As NBC decides what their future schedule looks like, it’s a lot of moving pieces to consider. Ultimately, we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
