Blackpink's Lisa Auditioned For the K-Pop Group with a Miley Cyrus Throwback Track!

Lisa from Blackpink says a 2009 Miley Cyrus tune changed her life.

The 27-year-old singer gave details about her audition for the K-Pop group in a recent interview, including the song she selected for her routine.

“I auditioned for Blackpink in Thailand by singing ‘Ice Cream Freeze (Let’s Chill)’ by Hannah Montana, so Miley Cyrus,” she told The Guardian.

“There must have been 1,000 people, so I never thought I would get picked. It’s a fun song and good to dance to, so I think it really suited my style,” she added.

The Miley track ended up being a wise selection for Lisa, as she later launched into mega stardom with the group Blackpink.

Meanwhile, Lisa is currently starring in season 3 of The White Lotus on Max. In January, show creator Mike White gave details about her original audition.
