Ralph Fiennes Confirmed to Play President Snow in New 'Hunger Games' Movie Following Weeks of Rumors

Ralph Fiennes is now the third actor who will play Coriolanus Snow in the Hunger Games movie franchise!

The late Donald Sutherland played the villainous role in the original series and Tom Blyth portrayed the character in the prequel movie The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

Now, after weeks of rumors, Ralph has been confirmed to be playing the role in the upcoming movie Sunrise on the Reaping. The new addition to the series follows 50th Hunger Games.

“We wanted to honor Donald Sutherland by having one of this generation’s greatest actors play President Snow 24 years before Katniss Everdeen entered the arena,” producer Nina Jacobson said in a statement to THR. “Working with Ralph has been on my bucket list since he traumatized me for life in Schindler’s List. It’s genuinely a thrill to welcome him to the Hunger Games.”

Ralph previously starred in the Harry Potter franchise as Voldemort.

Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, Mckenna Grace, Jesse Plemons, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Lili Taylor and Ben Wang are all confirmed for the cast of Sunrise on the Reaping.
