Billie Eilish Calls Out Billionaires In Front of Billionaire Mark Zuckerberg & an Eyewitness Caught His Alleged Reaction

Billie Eilish called out billionaires in her recent speech…given in front of billionaire Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan.

The 23-year-old superstar accepted an award on stage at the WSJ. Magazine 2025 Innovator Awards held at MoMA on Wednesday (October 29) in New York City. During her acceptance speech, Billie called out billionaires for not giving away some of their wealth to help the greater good.

Billie said, “We’re in a time right now where the world is really, really bad and really dark and people need empathy and help more than, kind of, ever, especially in our country. I’d say if you have money, it would be great to use it for good things, maybe give it to some people that need it.”

She continued, “Love you all, but there’s a few people in here that have a lot more money than me. If you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire? No hate, but yeah, give your money away, shorties.”

People is revealing how Mark allegedly responded to that comment. When Billie mentioned billionaires, apparently there was a “ripple of quiet laughter and clapping,” but apparently “Zuckerberg did not clap along with the rest of the audience.”

While introducing her, Stephen Colbert announced that she had raised more than $11.5 million in donations through her “Hit Me Hard and Soft” tour.

You may not know, but back in 2015, Mark and Priscilla pledged to give away 99% of their shares in Meta (known solely as Facebook back then) to philanthropy over their lifetimes. They have shared that they have given away over $7 billion so far.
