Margaret Qualley & Drew Starkey to Play a Couple in Southern Gothic Horror Movie 'King Snake'

Margaret Qualley, Drew Starkey, and Michael Shannon are teaming up for a new horror film!

The movie in question is titled King Snake and is described as a Southern gothic horror movie, per Deadline.

Jeff Nichols, who has directed films like The Bikeriders and Mud, will helm this one.

According to the outlet, King Snake is about “a young couple (Qualley and Starkey) who inherit a farm in rural Arkansas and must conquer the demons, both physical and metaphysical, that haunt its legacy. Forces of good and evil collide in a terrifying film where real-world challenges crash headlong into otherworldly creatures and myths.”

Speaking on Jeff‘s qualifications as a filmmaker, FilmNation (the company financing the project) CEO Glen Basner said, “Jeff is a singular filmmaker and King Snake will bewitch and enthrall audiences around the world with a startling new vision of the supernatural forces that hover just beyond our everyday perceptions.”

Margaret has kept plenty busy with movies like The Substance and Honey Don’t!. She was recently spotted filming a cute proposal scene with A$AP Rocky for an unnamed project!

Meanwhile, Drew is best known for starring in the hit Netflix series Outer Banks and Michael just starred in the drama Nuremberg with Rami Malek and Russell Crowe.
