First Look at New Balloons For Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2025 Revealed!

A preview of the new balloons in this year’s 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been revealed!

The 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloonfest took place on Saturday (November 1) as the holiday season officially kicked off at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Balloonfest serves as an operational function for the parade crew, which includes test flying the balloons for the first time and seeing how they react in real world wind, as well as training for the balloon handlers.

This year, there are a total of 32 balloons in the parade this year, including four new ones, which you can see pictured here – Mario, Pac-Man, Buzz Lightyear and Shrek’s Onion Carriage!

In addition to the balloons, there are 23 floats, 11 marching bands and over 8,000 participants who will be marching in the parade.

Among the floats this year include new additions from LEGO, Lindor truffles, Serta and Pop Mart, featuring giant Labubus. Check out the full lineup HERE!
