Kayla Nicole Reveals Inspiration for Toni Braxton Halloween Costume

Kayla Nicole is revealing what inspired her to dress as Toni Braxton from the 2000 music video for the hit song “He Wasn’t Man Enough for Me.”

The 34-year-old influencer revealed the Halloween costume last week and it quickly went viral.

Well this story is now circulating as it involves a woman named Taylor…but it’s not who you think.

About the costume, Kayla told a story on her “The Pre-Game With Kayla Nicole” podcast this week, sharing, “[Growing up,] I had a white best friend. Her name was Taylor. And she [had] the only house I could go over to as a kid because my mom didn’t play them type of games. I specifically remember driving home from private school in my uniform in the back of a paddy wagon with Taylor, and her mom was playing this song.”

“It was just like an ah-hah moment that, ‘Wow, white people listen to Black people music as well,’” she said.

Kayla, who is Travis Kelce‘s ex, appeared to respond to potential shade thrown in The Life of a Showgirl.
