Xolo is set to bring Portgas D. Ace to life in the next season.

Per Variety, the character “was the captain of the Spade Pirates before being recruited into the Whitebeard Pirates. He is often seen shirtless with a large hat on his head and a machete on his hip.”

Xolo joins recently announced Cole Escola, with production set to kick off later this year in Cape Town, South Africa.

“ONE PIECE: Season 3 just got a whole lot hotter!! ???? We are beyond excited to announce that Xolo Maridueña will be playing the beloved Portgas D. Ace in the next stretch of our adventure! ???? ????,” the One Piece account captioned the above.
