George Clooney reveals which two younger stars he thinks have a lot of potential.

The 64-year-old actor returned to The Hollywood Reporter‘s Awards Chatter podcast six years after his last visit to discuss his Netflix movie Jay Kelly, among other things.

When the topic got to young stars that impress him, George shared that he felt both Zendaya and Glen Powell have promising careers ahead of them.

“I think Zendaya … can do television, she can do commercials, she can do movies, she seems to have that ability to rise above it,” he said. “I think Glen Powell is doing interesting stuff as a young actor; he’s kind of hitting around the time I hit, and he seems to want to direct and produce and write and do all of those things with a little bit of humor about himself, which I think is an element that’s important if you look back. I’m not ready to call it all dead yet.”

The Burn After Reading star leads the cast of coming-of-age dramedy Jay Kelly from director Noah Baumbach. Adam Sandler also stars.

Jay Kelly is coming to select theaters on November 14 and then it will get its Netflix debut on December 5.
