'Stranger Things' Creators Ross & Matt Duffer Respond to the David Harbour & Millie Bobby Brown Rumors
Stranger Things co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer and executive producer Shawn Levy have addressed the rumors that show star Millie Bobby Brown allegedly filed complaints of harassment and bullying from her co-star David Harbour, who also plays a father figure to her character Eleven on the show.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter at the world premiere of the show’s upcoming fifth and final season, Ross said that “nothing matters more” to them than “just having a set where everyone feels safe and happy.”

“Obviously, you understand I can’t get into personal onset matters, but I will say we’ve been doing this for 10 years with this cast, and at this point they’re family and we deeply care about them. So, you know, nothing matters more than just having a set where everyone feels safe and happy,” was Ross‘ full statement.
As for Shawn, he told the outlet that many of the stories out there have been “wildly inaccurate.”
“At the end of the day, that’s the job,” he replied. “You have to create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe, and so we did everything to build that environment. And we’re proud of the fact that we did so.”
The producer added, “I’ve read a bunch of stories and they range from wildly inaccurate to… there’s so much noise around it. But the truth is that we view this crew and this cast as family, and so we treat each other with respect, and that’s always been bedrock.”
So, while neither the Duffer brothers or Shawn directly responded to the rumors they do appear to be suggesting the story is inaccurate.
David and Millie themselves have not publicly addressed the rumored allegations, but they were photographed reuniting in seemingly good spirits at the premiere.
