Ginnifer Goodwin Talks About Her Sons First Public Appearance: They 'Campaigned' To Go To The 'Zootopia 2' Premiere

Ginnifer Goodwin shares how she ensured her kids were ready for their red carpet debut at the Zootopia 2 premiere.

The 47-year-old actress and husband Josh Dallas, 46, were both at the big event on November 13, making their first public appearance alongside their sons Hugo, 9, and Oliver, 11.

“So my children campaigned to come to the Zootopia 2 premiere, and now they’re going to the entire international crazy press tour with me,” Ginnifer shared on Jesse Tyler Ferguson‘s podcast Dinner’s On Me.

She explained the conversations she had with Josh about how they could manage bringing their kids along without overexposing them, ultimately agreeing they could walk the red carpets but not be posted on social media.

Ginnifer added that they had to “practice” because premieres can get “intense.”

“Because those premieres shut down Hollywood Boulevard. And so [my sons] said, ‘Remember when we went to the Knicks game?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ And they were like, ‘Remember when we left and there were all those photographers?’”

She goes on to say there were only two photographers, meaning the kids thought that was a lot and would need some preparation before going to a red carpet event.

“And they were like, ‘Will it be like that?’ And we were like, ‘Oh dear, we need a dry run. We’re gonna have to actually practice,’” the Once Upon a Time alum said.
