'Schitt's Creek' Star Noah Reid Calls Knowing Catherine O'Hara 'A Gift I Still Can't Believe I Got to Receive'
Noah Reid has become the latest Schitt’s Creek star to post a public tribute to Catherine O’Hara, who passed away on January 30 at the age of 71.
The 38-year-old actor and musician took to Instagram on Saturday (January 31) to share a touching message honoring Catherine‘s memory. He played Patrick on the show.

“I’m at a total loss. We all are, clearly. Meeting Catherine was surreal, like meeting a painting or a hologram or a saint,” he wrote. “Working with Catherine was an elevation, an understanding that there was collaboration in competition, that there were secret ways of knowing and doing that she was willing to share, and that there was humour and magic in everything.”
He call knowing her “a gift I still can’t believe I got to receive,” and said she was the “coolest, kindest, realest, funniest, most genuine. The best of us.”
An electrical current of creativity I haven’t seen before or since. My heart goes out to Bo and their boys, and to the wonderful O’Hara clan, and to my Schitt’s Creek Family of so many years. How lucky we all were. We knew it then, and boy do we feel it now. Love you COH ❤️????☘️” Noah concluded.
His co-star, Emily Hampshire, commented on the post to say, “I didn’t think there were words to describe her and what it was like to work with her but you just articulated it perfectly ❤️”
She also shared a tribute on her Instagram.
