'APT.' (Apartment) Lyrics: Meaning of Bruno Mars & ROSÉ Grammy-Nominated Song Revealed

Bruno Mars and Blackpink‘s ROSÉ had one of the biggest songs of 2025 with “APT.” and now it’s nominated for a bunch of Grammys.

The song title translates from Korean to mean “Apartment” in English and ROSÉ has actually explained the meaning behind the lyrics.

“‘APT.’ is actually my favorite Korean drinking game that I play with my friends back home. It’s so simple, puts a smile on your face, and breaks the ice at any party,” she said in a statement.

The singer continued, “One night in the studio I taught my crew how to play the game. Everyone was fascinated, especially when I started the chant, so we played around with it and I said we should make a song out of it… and after Bruno joined the track, the rest became history!”

ROSÉ sings in the chorus of the song, “아파트 아파트,” which is pronounced “apateu apateu.”
