King Charles Breaks Silence on Brother Andrew's Arrest
King Charles has released a statement on his brother, ex-Prince Andrew‘s arrest.
If you don’t know, Andrew, who turns 66 years old today, was stripped of his royal title in 2025.
Now, on Thursday (February 19), he was taken into custody on suspicion of misconduct in public office, with authorities investigating claims that he may have shared information with Jeffrey Epstein while serving as a British trade envoy. You can see the police statement here.

“I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office. What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course. As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all,” the King said (via Variety).
The royal family member’s association with Epstein has been referenced in Epstein Files documents. If you don’t recall, back in 2021, Prince Andrew was sued for sexual assault by Virginia Giuffre, where she alleged abuse when she was part of late Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking ring at 17. The suit was settled a year later. He had denied wrongdoing.
Included in the files were very disturbing photos of Andrew.
