Matt Damon Catches Immersive 'Phantom' Show 'Masquerade' in New York City!
Matt Damon just experienced the classic musical The Phantom of the Opera in a new and inventive way.
The Oscar-winning entertainer caught a performance of Masquerade on Wednesday night (March 4) in New York City.
For those who don’t know, Masquerade is a new take on Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s musical The Phantom of the Opera and it’s performed in an immersive setting where audiences follow the show through various rooms. Multiple casts are performing the show at the same time as each group of audience members move from room to room.
Matt went backstage after the show to meet the leads he watched – Clay Singer as Phantom, Riley Noland as Christine, and Francisco Javier Gonzalez as Raoul.
Clay reacted on Instagram after the show, “Got to perform for the guy who made my favorite movie of all time.” He added a mind-blown emoji.
