Celtics Pull Away Late to Beat Thunder

The Boston Celtics shot 54 percent from the field, made 17 three-pointers, and outscored Oklahoma City by 25 in the fourth quarter to beat the Thunder 135-100 on Wednesday night at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Thunder were just 4-for-25 from three-point range, and were outrebounded 46-31 for the game.

OKC shot just 43 percent from the field and were without their top two scorers, as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams sat out with injury for the second straight game.

Six Thunder players were in double figures, including all five starters, led by 17 points from Josh Giddey.

Luguentz Dort had 15 points, Isaiah Joe had 13 points, and Cason Wallace 12.

Chet Holmgren was held to 11 points and Aaron Wiggins had 10.

Kristaps Porzingis led Boston with 27 points and Jayson Tatum had 24 points, with Jaylen Brown adding 23.

The Thunder fall to 52-24 on the season, one game behind Denver and Minnesota for first place in the Western Conference standings.

OKC continues their five-game road trip at Indiana Friday night at 6:00 pm.
