OSBI: Two arrested in Tulsa homicide investigation

0

TULSA, Okla. (KFOR) - According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, two people have been arrested in connection to a homicide in Tulsa.

The OSBI says 40-year-old Juan Luviano was reported missing on December 21, 2024, to the Tulsa Police Department after he was last seen on December 19 near North Trenton Avenue in Tulsa.

As police searched for Luviano, they learned that foul play was suspected and Tulsa PD's Homicide Unit began investigating.

Officials say the investigation led Tulsa officers outside their jurisdiction, so on January 9, 2025, the OSBI was requested to help with the investigation.

On January 13, special agents found human remains in a wooded area near Spaniard Creek in Muskogee County. The remains were later identified as Luviano.

Based on information gathered during the investigation, two suspects were identified as 22-year-old Maria Guadalupe and 19-year-old Irwin Medina. They were both located and arrested in Tulsa on January 15.

According to the OSBI, they have been booked into the Muskogee County Jail on charges of First Degree Murder and Conspiracy.

No more information is available as the investigation continues.
