Biker gang member pleads guilty to 2023 murder at SW OKC bar

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A member of an Oklahoma biker gang has pleaded guilty to murder in connection to a deadly shooting at the Whiskey Barrel Saloon in 2023.

Douglas Jacobs was charged on several counts, including first degree murder, for his alleged role in the shooting death of Eric Oberholtzer at the southwest Oklahoma City bar in April 2023. The state later amended the first degree murder charge to second degree murder.

According to the Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office, Jacobs shot and killed Oberholtzer during a fight between rival biker gangs. Two others were also killed as a result of the shooting.

Jacobs entered a blind plea of guilty to all charges on January 24, and was sentenced to 15 years in the Department of Corrections in addition to 20 years suspended on Wednesday.
