Oklahoma police officer arrested in connection to grand larceny investigation
SAND SPRINGS, Okla. (KFOR) - According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, a Sand Springs Police Officer has been arrested as part of a grand larceny investigation.
The OSBI says the Sand Springs Police Department asked for the bureau's help on January 30, 2025.
Officials say on December 23, 2024, officers responded to a deceased person covered at an apartment complex near South Apple Creek Drive and West Wekiwa Road in Sand Springs. During the investigation, officers found items belonging to the victim. It was discovered that the victim's credit card had been used following their death.
Investigators tracked down the credit card charges and identified 24-year-old Theodore Cook as a suspect. Cook is also an officer with the Sand Springs Police Department.
Based on the evidence gathered, Cook was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Detention Center. Official charges are pending and the investigation is still ongoing.
