More brides claim videographer ripped them off, local attorney steps in to help

0

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — More upset newlyweds said they paid a local videographer who didn't deliver on his promises.

After News 4 ran two stories about Stephen Austin Films, more brides started calling local attorney Noble McIntyre, whose own daughter is a victim.

As of Friday evening, McIntyre has been contacted by at least 23 brides.

"I'm not going to stop until I get all of this footage for all of these couples," said McIntyre. "They worried that if they were aggressive or pursued it too hard, that he might do something to delete the footage."

McIntyre paid Stephen Austin Films to shoot his daughter's wedding back in May of last year.

He said for months, communication has been little to none at all.

"I think when you look at his history and how he has behaved, especially with my daughter Mackenzie, and failure to respond, that it certainly leads to believe that he's probably done this to others," said McIntyre.

McIntyre has now made it his mission to not only help his daughter, but also Kaylee Porter and other victims.

"I never thought that this would be a thing. He's been in the business for a long time," said Porter. "I feel devastated for not only myself and my husband and our families, but everybody else that's out there."

Porter got married in June 2024.

She said Stephen Austin Films came highly recommended so she was holding out hope that he would deliver.

"I did try to reach out to him. I texted him, but my text did not go through. Also, after seeing the news article, I also did Instagram DM him as well, super polite, just like 'it's almost been eight months,'" said Porter.

Now, Porter is one of many brides looking to McIntyre for help.

"I emailed him immediately and he responded back within 10 minutes and told me to send him everything that I had," said Porter. "Him going on and talking about that, I know just from talking to another bride, that it helped so many people and so many people have reached out to him. I'm sure every bride is grateful that he is doing this for us."

While News 4 has not heard back from Stephen Austin, an attorney saying he represents Austin called McIntyre.

He said he is working to get the brides the videos they paid for, we'll check back in.
