CHOCTAW, Okla. (KFOR) - Firefighters battled a house fire in Choctaw Thursday morning.
According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, crews responded to the trailer home near SE 44th St. and Choctaw Rd. around 2 a.m.
All of the occupants made it out of the home before crews arrived.
"Initially we got a report three people were in the house and one person refused to leave. I don't know if he was trying to put the fire out or whatever," said Batt. Chief Shane Williams with OKCFD. "However, once we got on the scene, we confirmed all three were out of the structure."
Officials say the fire began in a back bedroom. The flames have since been knocked down, but the home received heavy damage.
