El Reno Airport closes briefly after vehicle fire, one injured

EL RENO, Okla. (KFOR) — A vehicle fire caused the El Reno Regional Airport to close briefly on Friday.
Officials with the airport confirmed that a fire started at an oil field where a fracking truck caught fire.
El Reno Fire Department officials say crews arrived at the scene and found three semi-trucks that were on fire which spread to more vehicles. As many as 10 semi-trucks caught fire due to the incident.
El Reno Regional Airport closed for a while due to the smoke impacting visibility but later reopened.
Officials say one person suffered a minor injury and was transported to a local hospital.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
